Comil wood-burning furnaces have the function of generating thermal energy, used in the drying of agricultural products in general.
Built with an inner coating of refractory bricks, they are structured with steel profiles and covered in ceramic fiber blocks, coated with a layer of refractory cement. Cast iron grates and feeding doors ensure durability and easy operation. A modern design project incorporates an efficient system of galleries to extinguish sparks.
The combustion chamber is internally insulated, retaining heat inside the furnace and preventing operator contact with hot areas.
The drying air composition takes place at the Furnace, through mixing shutters distributed in predetermined locations in the dimensioning.
Developed to enable the operator to immediately block the transfer of drying air to the dryer. The application of the system is indicated for the end of the furnace operation or for the muffling of the dryer, in special cases. How to use it is described in the furnace operation and maintenance manual.
To facilitate the distribution of firewood over the grate area, Comil furnaces were designed with width variation only, keeping their depth fixed in two grate lines totaling 2m, demanding less physical effort from the operator.
To facilitate cleaning and inspection of Comil Furnaces, all chambers have easy access through doors and ladders.
